Take away

Your figures, in XBRL.

A ZIP file containing your XBRL and its official taxonomy files.

  • statement.xbrl

    The financial facts you reviewed

  • Official taxonomy files

The definitions your XBRL file references

Keep your full financial statements and auditor’s report. The XBRL draft does not replace them.

Convert the statements you already have

Upload a PDF

Convert a digital or scanned financial statement from PDF to an XBRL draft. Clear, complete pages help extraction. Compare every imported figure with the original before you export.

Use Excel

Convert Excel to XBRL using an XLSX or XLS workbook, or start from CSV. Keep row labels, reporting dates and units visible. Check that each figure is assigned to the right period and statement line.

Enter figures

No file to hand? Enter your company details, reporting periods and figures directly. Add the statement lines you need. Leave unreported values blank and enter zero only where the source reports zero.

Common questions

What is XBRL?

XBRL stands for eXtensible Business Reporting Language. It attaches standard tags to financial facts so software can read them consistently. Saudi Arabia’s Qawaem program uses XBRL for financial reporting.

Is this tool really free?

Yes. Upload and review your draft without signing up. Before downloading, enter your contact name and phone number and verify by SMS. The company name is carried over from your reviewed statement. No payment or Wethaq subscription is required.

Do I need to reformat my statements?

No special upload template is required. Use PDF, XLSX, XLS or CSV, up to 10 MB, in Arabic or English. You can also enter figures manually. Imported figures and their mappings must be reviewed and corrected before export.

Is my download an accepted Qawaem filing?

No. Wethaq prepares an XBRL draft and packages the official taxonomy files with it. A complete synthetic sample was checked with the official Qawaem validation tools and Arelle. Every company’s file still needs its own review and Qawaem validation; live portal acceptance has not been tested. Wethaq is an independent preparation tool.

Can an AI assistant help me use the tool?

Yes. This public guide is available as readable HTML and Markdown. An assistant can explain the workflow or help you prepare figures. Upload and review come first; the company contact authorizes document processing and completes SMS verification before downloading. This free tool does not currently offer a public conversion API.

Official references, clear boundaries

Wethaq is an independent preparation tool, not the Qawaem filing portal. Use Qawaem’s official tools to validate your completed file and check the current filing requirements.
